Our Community        

Center Village relies heavily on the community to help provide services to our consumers' needs.   

Ministers and Civic Organizations: Local ministers and churches provide Sunday Services and also provide special programming during the month and at holidays. Lions Clubs, PEO, Ti-T, etc. throughout the county provide activities and gifts during the year.

Health Care Services: Van Buren County Hospital and Clinic help meet our consumers' wellness needs by providing hospitalization, treatment and diagnostic services. Physicians, Physicians Assistants, and Nurses at the hospital and clinic all consult and work with Center Village staff to assure good health care. Specialty clinics are also ut1lized, such as Eye Care; Ear, Nose, and Throat; and Podiatry. River Center, with offices in Keosauqua, Farmington, Ft. Madison etc., provide psychiatric services including medication monitoring, counseling and screening. Dr. Charles Handy provides dental services.

Business District: Center Village and their consumers rely heavily on the local and surrounding business communities to assist them in meeting needs. Residents shop locally twice a month patronizing the grocer, pharmacy, restaurants, bank etc. Consumers also shop in various surrounding towns such as Burlington, Ottumwa and Fairfield on a regular basis. Senior Citizen Center in Keosauqua provide congregate meals and transportation to the meal site three times per week for persons over 60 and their guests.
